Established in 1908, Tourism College MODUL is the world’s oldest vocational school dedicated to tourism and hospitality education. Modul University Vienna, founded in 2007, builds on this strong tradition while shaping the future of international, research-driven education.

Since all programs offer research-driven curricula, Modul University’s international faculty is engaged in innovative research, which has developed substantially. Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management

The Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management is a 2-year diploma program designed to provide you with the management skills required in order to work as a mid-level manager within the hospitality-, hotel-, and tourism industry.
The diploma programme consists of three main areas:


Foreign language acquisition
Management skills
Practical training


Through the duration of the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management students will develop marketing and communication competencies, as well as being trained in guest relations, service, and cuisine. Students are also encouraged to work on their language skills which are also a natural progression when mixing with multicultural peers.
Upon completion of the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management graduates are awarded a Diploma and a business licence allowing them to establishing their own restaurant, hotel or travel agency.
The Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management also qualifies graduates for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Study Hospitality and Tourism in Austria

The College of International Tourism Management (ITM) offers a unique study program that was created specifically for students who plan on having an international career in the field of hotel and tourism management.

ITM was the first college in Austria to introduce English as the language of instruction. The college is accredited and approved by the Austrian Ministry of Education. Graduates receive a diploma certified by the Austrian Government. The program is taught in English, and students have the opportunity to learn two additional languages which will help them become more confident while working worldwide.

ITM works with ambitious individuals. Their target student is motivated and dedicated to specialising in the hospitality and service industry. By offering an applied study program, students will have a broad knowledge not only on theoritical but also on the practical level. Practical training is an essential part of development in this ever-growing industry. That is why they chose an operating hotel as their Campus - where students have the opportunity to become comfortable and familiar with their future working environment.

The two-year college program is available for a limited and carefully selected number of students in order to guarantee high quality and individual training during the practical and theoritical lessons. This ensures that lecturers can adapt and customize their lessons in accordance with individual student's preferences. ITM welcomes future managers and strives on giving them the training and necessary skills to reach their desired goals.
