Programme BA International Business intends to educate practically oriented business professionals who are well acquainted with relevant knowledge from International business and can communicate in two and/or three foreign languages. Students also develop knowledge of sustainable business, ethics, public administration and a responsible attitude towards contemporary problems of society and the environment. The programme International Business's basic objective is to acquaint students with professional and managing tasks in different organizations, especially in companies and institutions that are integrated into international cooperation. Besides basic professional – theoretical knowledge in business sciences, students also acquire practical knowledge for work in international business and develop competencies for independent work planning, organization, performance and monitoring, fluent communication in foreign languages, sustainable development, and work in the public sector.

What is a VŠR College student like? He or she is full of desire for new knowledge and is aware that the mere recording of invoices received is not a good accountant's real mission. He or she wants to influence the company’s decisions. He or she wants to become the head of the financial or accounting department or a consultant to the company’s management, thus making decisions about the company's future cooperatively. Managing Accountants are also excellent directors because they understand the business and finance structure and know-how to require the right and meaningful reports from the accounting and financial services. Since accounting is the language of businessmen, a managing accountant is sovereign in communicating with directors, managers, banks, company owners, etc. After completion of the three-year study programme, you will obtain an academic title Diplomirani economist (VS) – Bachelor of Arts, which corresponds to the educational level VI/2 in Slovenia.

Tourism is an extremely dynamic and highly promising industry. The focus of the programme is on practical experience, therefore all subjects in the field of tourism include numerous on-site visits, project work with companies, work on real-world case studies, and lectures by numerous domestic and foreign managers and experts. You will also acquire basic managerial skills necessary for successful work in tourism, as well as gain knowledge in the field of accounting and strategic management. Sustainable Tourism Management is also the only Slovenian programme that has TedQual accreditation, which is awarded by the International Tourism Organisation.
